Blazers begin Summer Workouts with record numbers
Silver Spring, MD - As summer workouts began on June 24, 85 prospective student-athletes began their final preparations for the 2013 football season. "It's important that our student-athletes understand that nothing is a given," said head coach Andrew Fields. "Success is born through hard work and a commitment to the task at hand. It's clear that this message is getting through to our kids, and they will see the difference it will make."
Day one was spent in an instructional phase, as the new coaching staff introduced the players to the workouts, expectations, and process. On day 2, workouts began as players conditioned on the track and lifted weights in the weightroom.
In total, the Blazers will conduct 25 workouts leading up to August 14.
